Overview

The Project Manager will lead technically challenging projects in our healthcare sector in Lewisham. This senior site leadership role involves overall responsibility for project delivery, including financial performance with support from the QS. The role entails coordinating all aspects of Contract, Preconstruction, Design, Procurement, and Build functions to meet client expectations. The Project Manager will adhere to all relevant SOPs and SISK HSEQS policies, maintain the PEP, and seek opportunities to add value and enhance profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the programme, method statements, and submissions.
  • Develop the contract programme, collaborating with the Estimating Department during the bid stage.
  • Ensure the Health, Safety & Environmental plan and project resources align with the scope and schedule, including temporary works.
  • Instruct the QS on major preliminary expenditures, including plant and accommodation.
  • Chair start-up and production meetings, working with the Regional Director to assign skilled team members.
  • Lead all project team functions: PEP, Risk & Commercial Success, Financials, Processes, HSEQS, Stakeholder Management, Project Administration, Design Management, and Project Close Out.
  • Manage consultant and subcontract design delivery, including BIM strategy execution.
  • Compile and implement the Project Execution Plan.
Experience
  • Strong knowledge of Design and Build JCT, NEC3 contracts, and BREEAM/LEED standards.
  • Healthcare project experience is desirable.
  • Typically, 7+ years of relevant sector experience or 2-3 projects across different industries.
  • End-to-end Programme Management experience.
  • Commercial awareness, people management, team building, and leadership skills.
Qualifications
  • Construction-related academic or professional qualification, ideally chartered.
  • Certifications: CSCS for Managers, SMSTS, CDM/PSCS.
  • Knowledge of BBS, Root Cause Analysis, and related workshops.
  • Experience with Planning, Temporary Works, PEP, and Contracts Management.
