Job description

We are looking for a Project Manager, based nationwide, to join our Kier Design business in providing design and professional services across a range of sectors, including the built environment, for both public and private sector clients.

Location: Nationwide

Hours: 37.5 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Project Manager, you'll work within our Architecture & Building Consultancy team, delivering project management services to internal and external clients, in accordance with Kier's quality management system and other standard procedures, utilizing our APM accredited project management methodology.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

1. Working with clients and stakeholders to define the project brief, scope, requirements, key drivers, and success factors.
2. Delivering core project management activities such as risk and issue management, stakeholder engagement, communication, reporting, scheduling, and change control.
3. Supporting clients with project delivery strategies and contractor procurement.
4. Administering construction contracts on behalf of the client.
5. Managing Kier's project team and service delivery.

What are we looking for?

This role is ideal if you:

• Hold a degree-level qualification (minimum HNC / HND) in a discipline relevant to construction, and possess an APM PMQ or equivalent project management qualification.
• Are a member of the APM or equivalent, and a member of a professional body relevant to the construction sector, with a full driving license for site visits.
• Have experience delivering project management services across multiple built environment projects, including new builds, extensions, or refurbishments, of at least medium complexity and scale, covering at least half of the project lifecycle, with some experience in contract administration and contractor procurement.
