As new reactor technologies come to market, we are evolving our credibility to become the UK's leading provider of engineering and technical solutions across all reactor types, contributing to the world's global climate change challenge.
We are recruiting for experienced Project Managers to join our NPETS team, supporting a key client with their nuclear fleet in the UK.
Flexible working arrangements between office and home may be possible; however, the role will predominantly be based at the Nuclear Power Station. Occasional travel to other UK sites/stations may be required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Delivery: Accountable to the client PPM for successful delivery of all aspects of assigned projects. Set the project execution strategy in agreement with the client PPM, ensuring projects are delivered safely in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead a cross-functional project team to achieve established goals and objectives within the agreed baseline.
  • Accountability: The role will be based at the EDF Sizewell B Power Station with occasional business travel. You will report to the Operations Manager but will be directly accountable for project delivery to the client.
  • Safety & Compliance: Work in a highly regulated environment with high safety standards, ensuring compliance with relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
  • Communication & Team Collaboration: Develop relationships and maintain effective networks while being results-focused with a team-centred approach.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Degree educated, ideally in engineering or a related subject, with preferred Chartership.
  • Project Management: APMP formal project management qualification or equivalent. Extensive knowledge of modern project management techniques within complex, multi-functional organizations.
  • Technical Expertise: Understanding of engineering, design, procurement, safety case, construction, installation/commissioning management, and commercial contracting.
  • Safety & Compliance Knowledge: Demonstrable understanding of Safety Cases, Health & Safety, and Environmental legislation, including CDM, with the ability to ensure compliance.
  • Quality Assurance & Commercial Drivers: Strong understanding of quality control and assurance, with experience in commercial, contractual, and financial drivers.
  • Project Lifecycle Management: Proven experience managing projects across the full lifecycle, ideally within complex, multi-discipline projects and environments.
  • Cost Control & Planning: Experience in estimating, cost control, planning, and commercial awareness, including preparing business cases and sanction/funding papers.
  • Reporting & Tools: Proficient in preparing reports using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and in using estimating, scheduling, programming, and risk tools. Skilled in Earned Value tools and analytical problem-solving.
  • Industry Experience: Experience working at Power Stations and Nuclear Licensed Sites is preferred but not essential.
Additional Information:

In addition to the benefits you'd expect, UK employees receive:

  • Free single medical cover and digital GP service
  • Family-friendly benefits, such as enhanced parental leave pay
  • Free membership of employee assistance and parental programmes
  • Reimbursement for professional development and memberships
  • Participation in the Collectively Program, including matched funding, paid volunteering time, and charitable donations.
