Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in technical event or exhibition project management, preferably within life sciences.
• Strong understanding of booth construction, venue limitations, and technical specifications.
• Proven ability to work with international clients and suppliers under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end technical delivery of exhibition booths for European congresses.
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to scope, plan, and execute projects.
• Ensure all technical elements are delivered to high standards, including AV, rigging, Wi-Fi, electrics, and H&S compliance.

Location: Remote (UK-based) | Contract

A leading healthcare communications agency is seeking a freelance Technical Event Project Manager to support the design, planning, and delivery of custom exhibition booths for global pharmaceutical clients.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in booth builds, who enjoys working across creative, logistical, and stakeholder-facing responsibilities in a fast-paced, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end technical delivery of exhibition booths for European congresses
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to scope, plan, and execute projects
• Lead briefings with designers, manage supplier relationships, and coordinate build logistics
• Travel onsite to oversee builds and ensure smooth delivery
• Ensure all technical elements are delivered to high standards, including AV, rigging, Wi-Fi, electrics, and H&S compliance

About You

• 5+ years’ experience in technical event or exhibition project management, preferably within life sciences
• Strong understanding of booth construction, venue limitations, and technical specifications
• Proven ability to work with international clients and suppliers under tight deadlines
• Confident managing budgets, timelines, and creative/technical briefings
• Fluent in English; other European languages a plus
