Job summary

D R Newitt & Associates is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead its Small Works team across refurbishment, redevelopment and construction projects in Yorkshire and the wider UK. The role covers pre-construction through to completion, focusing on safety, on-time delivery and budget control, with responsibility for coordinating subcontractors and stakeholders.

Candidates should have strong leadership, knowledge of CDM Regulations, and experience with JCT/NEC contracts; travel to sites

Responsibilities

• Manage the successful delivery of construction, refurbishment and redevelopment projects.
• Plan and coordinate projects from pre-construction through to completion.
• Manage project budgets, costs, risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate subcontractors, designers, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Ensure pre-commencement, regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
• Work with design teams to develop safe, practical and buildable solutions.
• Manage subcontractor performance, programme and quality.
• Review RAMS, COSHH assessments and relevant safety documentation.
• Ensure projects comply with CDM and Health & Safety requirements.
• Work closely with Commercial teams on procurement, cost control and change management.
• Monitor progress against programme, budget and scope.
• Produce clear and timely project reporting.

An established construction business is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join its Small Works team, delivering a range of refurbishment, redevelopment and construction projects across Yorkshire and the wider UK.

This is a varied role, with responsibility for managing projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the successful delivery of construction, refurbishment and redevelopment projects.
• Plan and coordinate projects from pre-construction through to completion.
• Manage project budgets, costs, risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate subcontractors, designers, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Ensure pre-commencement, regulatory and compliance requirements are met.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Good commercial awareness and experience managing project costs.
• Experience delivering refurbishment, redevelopment or small works projects.
• A proactive approach to risk, quality, programme and delivery.
• HNC/HND or degree-level construction qualification.
• SMSTS would be desirable.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
