Job summary

Ipsum Power in Haydock is seeking a Project Manager to lead and deliver works within the SPEN SPM area. You will plan resources, manage health and safety, and ensure projects stay on time and within budget. You’ll also generate new leads and upsell HV/LV services to clients to grow the service provision.

The role involves site visits, RAMS/SSOW production, procurement, and staff supervision, with development opportunities across the business. Equal opportunities apply.

About The Role…

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team in Haydock as Project Manager, you will undertake the management and delivery of working projects and singular works activities in the SPEN SPM area. The role is inclusive of planning and resourcing of labour, ensuring that all aspects of health and safety are adhered to. Production of both RAMS and SSoW client dependent. Arrange the procurement and delivery of materials to site inclusive of checking all quotations as required. Management of all levels of site-based staff to ensure that work is undertaken correctly and assist staff with future development of their employment goals. As a Project Manager you will Work with all staff and clients to ensure that works are completed both on time and within budget. To pro-actively generate leads and opportunities for the expansion of the service provision of Ipsum Power. Ability to upsell the HV/LV services to existing customers. Produce RAMS and SSoW. Conduct and produce alteration of work schedules and/or programmes as and when required. Undertake site visits to ensure ongoing works are advancing in alinement with schedules/programmes, ensuring client satisfaction, and ensuring that no ‘risks’ arise to the Ipsum Power Communicate with clients as required to assist in the delivery of both new and ongoing works. Ensure to liaise with PPM Manager for labour requirements when required for Projects and Maintenance work. Manage the procurement and delivery of materials to site and office location that is required for Project and Maintenance work. Management and procurement of sub-contractors and checking and signing off relevant invoices attached to the Wakefield operation. Assisting the business in the development of new clients and work. Conduct project site inspections against internal requirements (minimum one per month)

About You…

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• HNC Electrical Engineering or equivalent (preferred)
• Experience of operating in a commercial, multi-divisional organisation.
• Detailed understanding of current HV/ LV electrical installation techniques.
• Solid and up to date knowledge of statutory requirements, legislation, and technical advances.
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety practice and Risk Assessment.
• Previous experience working in the High Voltage industry
