Project Manager

DSV is seeking an experienced Project Manager due to growth. The location can be flexible, with a preferred base in Northampton or Mercia Park. The successful candidate will lead various project types, including new client implementations, site setups, client relocations, and strategic change projects.

Ideal candidates should be detail-oriented with experience in the third-party logistics (3PL) sector. Strong communication, organization, punctuality, and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Manage diverse projects such as client implementations, site setups, relocations, and closures
  • Lead internal and client-facing project meetings
  • Follow DSV project methodology
  • Manage teams and suppliers in a matrix structure
  • Provide detailed status updates to stakeholders
  • Manage risks and issues proactively
  • Ensure projects stay within budget
  • Travel to UK & IE sites as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Competencies
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent certification (desirable)
  • At least 2 years of Project Management experience in 3PL (essential)
  • Experience with automation projects (desirable)
  • Experience in new site setups and fit-outs (desirable)
  • Proven success in delivering projects (essential)
  • Operational knowledge of warehousing and 3PL (essential)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, and other applications (essential)
  • Excellent written and spoken English (essential)
  • Knowledge of TUPE law and relevant legislation (desirable)
