Job summary

Collett & Sons Ltd is seeking a Project Manager to take overall responsibility for planning and delivering turnkey projects, coordinating technical, operational and commercial needs while maintaining safety and quality standards. You will be the main client contact and help refine processes and lessons learned.

The role requires driving projects from initiation to completion, with a focus on budgets, schedules and stakeholder communications within a multi-divisional, family-owned business.

Qualifications

• High drive, self-motivation and self-management with strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and effective planning.
• Current valid driving licence with understanding of contract forms and risk management.
• Experienced professional or graduate seeking progression with knowledge of heavy lift transport/installs.
• Advantageous: engineering ability or operations/tech experience in Oil & Gas, Power, Heavy Engineering, Renewables or Civil/Infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage contracts to deliver projects per terms, capturing variations and billing for milestone payments.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with high safety standards.
• Proactively manage project financials to maximise profitability and provide early warnings.
• Ensure engineering documentation is produced to a high standard and reviewed before execution.
• Maintain proactive client relationships as the primary contact.

Project Manager - The Role

As Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for planning and executing projects, working as part of a team to deliver turnkey solutions to Collett’s clients. You will manage technical, operational and commercial requirements while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest safety standards. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, contribute to disseminating lessons learned, and help update company processes and procedures.

Project Manager - Key Responsibilities

• Manage contracts to ensure Collett delivers projects according to agreed terms, capturing variations and appropriate billing with focus on milestone payments and favourable terms
• Deliver all project aspects on time, on budget and to high safety standards
• Proactively manage project financials to maximise profitability and provide early warnings when elements go off track
• Ensure all necessary engineering documentation is produced to a high standard and reviewed before execution
• Maintain proactive client relationships as the primary point of contact

Project Manager - You

• High level of drive, self-motivation and self-management ability with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office packages and possessing proactive, effective planning skills
• Current valid driving licence with commercial understanding of contract forms and risk management
• Experienced individual or graduate looking to progress, ideally with knowledge of heavy lift transportation and installations
• Advantageous: engineering ability, AutoCAD capability, or operations, commercial or technical experience in Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Heavy Engineering, Renewables or Civil and Infrastructure sectors
