Job summary

Alexander Associates Technical Recruitment is sourcing an experienced Project Manager for an innovative UK rocket launch company. You will coordinate engineering and manufacturing projects, ensuring milestones are met and governance adhered to.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage schedules, budgets, risks, and change control, and report progress to senior stakeholders while maintaining safety and quality standards across the programme.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within engineering, manufacturing, aerospace or a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting and risk management.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of engineering and manufacturing projects.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and delivery milestones.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, managing risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across departments.
  • Prepare and present project updates, reports, and performance metrics to senior stakeholders.
  • Manage project documentation, change control, and governance activities.
  • Support design reviews, manufacturing readiness, and programme planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement across project management processes and delivery standards.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Job description

We're working with an innovative UK rocket launch company to recruit an experienced Project Manager.

This is an opportunity to join a business developing next-generation launch vehicle technology, where you'll work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to coordinate the delivery of complex technical programmes.

You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while working alongside multidisciplinary teams responsible for the design, manufacture, and integration of launch vehicle hardware.

The Role

As Project Manager, you'll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering engineering and manufacturing projects across the business. You'll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, and operations teams to ensure programme milestones are achieved and project objectives are met.

This is a hands‑on role requiring strong organisational skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to bring multidisciplinary teams together to deliver complex technical programmes.

Key Responsibilities

Key Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
