Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Dorchester is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a team delivering a broad range of digital projects that transform services and improve patient care. You will work with stakeholders across the organisation to align delivery with priorities and ensure benefits are realised.
You will drive governance tasks, maintain project documentation, and apply Prince2 with an Agile mindset to support rapid, iterative delivery.
We have an exciting opportunity in our Digital Projects and Programmes team for an experienced Senior Project Manager who will lead a team of project staff to deliver a broad range of digital projects across our Digital Services portfolio. Acting with significant autonomy, you will be responsible for delivering projects that transform services, changing the way that care is provided to patients and enabling the organisation to become more efficient and effective.

The successful candidate will be able to engage stakeholders to transform their ways of working, influencing and negotiating with integrity to ensure our deliverables meet stakeholder needs, improve outcomes for people and deliver the benefits to the services, patients and wider organisation.
Showcasing excellent leadership and communication skills, you will be able to work effectively across organisational, technical and political boundaries, understanding the context with the ability to quickly form good working relationships. You know how to make complex and technical information and language simple and accessible for non-technical audiences.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be expected to inspire and motivate staff utilising excellent leadership and communication skills.
You will be accountable for all project management governance tasks, keeping all key project documentation up to date, working within tolerance and utilising Prince 2 methodology with an Agile mindset throughout delivery. You can work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and use an iterative method and flexible approach to enable rapid delivery. You will drive projects forward to achieve expected outcomes, ensuring all work is managed against organisational priorities and aligned to the strategic objectives of the Trust.
You will be expected to adhere to our standardised approach to producing project documentation, supporting governance and engagement activities, and working collaboratively to enhance and develop ways of working.
A major part of this role is resource planning within your direct project team working closely with Service Leads across the organisation to gain commitment to delivery. You will be expected to provide visibility of project work to the organisation, working in an open and transparent way, creating a culture of sharing and reflective learning ensuring continuous improvement., UKVI Sponsorship: This rolemay be available for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route, as defined by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).
