Job summary

Beck & Pollitzer is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Chippenham and oversee industrial machinery installation, relocation and decommissioning projects. You will lead project teams, coordinate resources, and manage customer relationships to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires strong expertise in machinery installation or relocation, mechanical/electrical contracting, cost control, and robust health & safety practices, with proven stakeholder management

Qualifications

• Experience managing engineering projects involving machinery installation or relocation.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical or electrical contracting.
• Proven ability to lead project teams, subcontractors and internal resources.
• Commercial acumen with project cost control and contract variations.
• Excellent stakeholder and customer management skills.
• Solid Health & Safety and risk management understanding.
• Able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage industrial machinery installation, relocation and decommissioning projects from start to finish.
• Lead project teams, coordinate internal resources and subcontractors to deliver on time and to spec.
• Maintain customer relationships, manage project costs and variations, and report progress to stakeholders.
• Ensure safety, compliance and quality across all project stages and sites.

Job description

Beck & Pollitzer is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Chippenham and manage industrial machinery installation, relocation and decommissioning projects.

You’ll lead project teams, coordinate internal resources and subcontractors, manage customer relationships, control project costs and contract variations, and ensure projects are delivered safely, effectively and on time.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience managing engineering projects, ideally involving machinery installation or relocation
• Strong Mechanical or Electrical contracting knowledge
• Experience leading project teams, subcontractors and internal resources
• Commercial confidence, including project cost control and contract variations
• Strong customer and stakeholder management skills
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and risk management
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under demanding deadlines
• Clear, confident communication at both technical and professional level
• A relevant advanced technical qualification in engineering
