Job summary

SiXworks in the United Kingdom is seeking a Project Manager to lead agile delivery of complex, defence-focused projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors and business resources to ensure successful outcomes.

You will apply structured and agile methodologies (APMP, MSP, Jira, Scrum), manage risk, forecast delivery, and maintain contract and supplier oversight, with occasional visits to Herefordshire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related fields preferred or equivalent experience.
• Strong project management, risk management, and procurement management skills.
• Familiarity with Scrum, Shape Up and Kanban methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of project delivery, including forecasting, change management and risk management.
• Operate in complex delivery and commercial environments with delivery fluidity in strict commercial models.
• Oversee deliverables from cross-functional teams, vendors, and business resources.
• Foster open communication to identify cross-team dependencies and risks early.
• Apply structured and agile methodologies (APMP, MSP, Jira, Tempo, Scrum) in varying contexts.
• Identify problems and develop actions/solutions, communicating to stakeholders through reports and dashboards.
• Provide contract management, supplier management and cross-organisation coordination.

We’re looking for a Project Manager who enjoys solving difficult technical challenges and wants their work to have real operational impact.

What You’ll Do

As a Project Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in managing agile projects using an iterative approach to delivery.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and business resources to ensure successful project delivery.

Your work may include:

• Project management- The ability to manage all aspects of project delivery, including forecasting, change management and risk management.
• Ability to operate in highly complex delivery and commercial environments. Managing delivery fluidity in strict commercial models.
• Oversee deliverables from cross-functional teams, vendors, and business resources.
• Foster open communication across teams to identify cross-team development dependencies and risks early on.
• Experience of working in a project delivery environment with a sound understanding of structured and agile methodologies and applying them in separate situations (e.g. APMP, MSP, Jira, Tempo, Scrum).
• Problem solving- The ability to identify problems collaboratively and develop actions/solutions, communicating both to key stakeholders and presenting information through reports, dashboards and slides as appropriate.
• Commercial awareness- Providing contract management, supplier management and cross organisations dependencies.

Occasional visits to Herefordshire required

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related fields preferred or equivalent experience.
• Strong project management, risk management, and procurement management skills.
• Familiarity with the Scrum, Shape Up and Kanban profiles and methodologies.
• Market experience working within the UK Defence & Security sector is advantageous.
