Job summary

Meet Life Sciences in Cambridge is seeking a Project Manager to lead healthcare communications projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring delivery on time and within scope.

You will be the primary client contact, manage budgets, risks, and quality, mentor junior colleagues, and drive continuous improvement across programmes.

Qualifications

  • 18+ months of project management or account management experience within a healthcare communications, medical communications, or healthcare agency.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organising and project management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience managing project budgets and financial tracking.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from initiation through to final delivery across healthcare communications and clinical trial engagement programmes.
  • Serve as the day-to-day client contact, ensuring clear communication and exceptional client service.
  • Lead client and internal project meetings, documenting actions and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Creative, Content, Strategy, and external suppliers.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure quality assurance processes are completed across all project deliverables.
  • Conduct project reviews and debriefs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, invoicing, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor project scope and identify opportunities for additional work or scope changes.
  • Track project time against approved budgets.
  • Escalate financial risks where appropriate and help maintain project profitability.
  • Build strong relationships across internal teams and clients.
  • Mentor junior team members where appropriate.
  • Foster a collaborative, supportive, and accountable team environment.
  • Contribute positively to the agency's culture and values.

What you'll be doing:

As a Project Manager, you'll oversee the successful delivery of a wide range of healthcare communications projects, acting as the primary day-to-day contact for clients while coordinating multidisciplinary internal teams.
