Job summary

Thatcher Associates is seeking a Project Manager to support a portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the South West, including Bristol.

The role requires delivering projects from pre-construction through to completion, coordinating site teams and ensuring safety, schedule and budget are met. UK experience with NEC/JCT contracts and a full driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts.
• Experience managing projects within the £2M-£20M range.
• Must have UK civil engineering project experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Role: Project Manager - Civil Engineering

Location: Projects in Bristol and commutable locations across the South West

Thatcher Associates is supporting a growing civil engineering contractor with the appointment of a Project Manager to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and construction projects across the South West.

The business operates across a range of sectors including infrastructure, highways, environmental improvement works, industrial civils and general construction schemes, with projects typically ranging from £2M-£20M in value.

This role will suit an experienced Project Manager with a strong background delivering civil engineering projects under NEC and JCT forms of contract, ideally within live operational environments.

The Role:

• Managing projects from pre-construction through to completion
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
• Managing client and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

• Previous experience delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Good understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts

• Must have previous UK civil engineering project experience
• Full UK Driving Licence required
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Commercially aware with a proactive and hands-on approach
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and operational teams
• Must currently reside in the UK or already be working for a UK-based business
