Job summary

Construction is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead a portfolio of highways and civil engineering projects across the South West. The role is based in the Bristol region and combines operational leadership with client management and business development.

You will oversee Project Managers and site delivery teams, drive programme, quality and safety, and collaborate with pre-construction and commercial teams to deliver on a strong regional pipeline.

Qualifications

• Senior management experience in civil engineering, highways or infrastructure.
• Experience overseeing multiple projects and delivery teams.
• Strong operational and commercial awareness.
• Experience with NEC contracts.
• SMSTS certification and full UK driving licence.

An established civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to strengthen its regional delivery team across the South West.

This is a senior operational position overseeing a portfolio of highways and civil engineering schemes, with responsibility for multiple project teams and the successful delivery of works from pre-construction through to completion.

The role offers a good mix of operational leadership, client management and business development, working closely with project, commercial and pre-construction teams across a strong pipeline of regional work.

  • Proven senior management experience within civil engineering, highways or infrastructure
  
  
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects and delivery teams
  
  
  • Strong operational and commercial awareness
  
  
  • Experience working within framework or repeat-client environments
  
  
  • Good knowledge of NEC contracts
  
  
  • Excellent leadership and client-facing skills
  
  
  • SMSTS
  
  
  • Full UK driving licence
