CDM Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a major civils water and wastewater project based in Middlesbrough / North East. The role involves delivering works on site from mobilisation through to completion, coordinating client and subcontractors, and ensuring quality, safety and programme adherence.

The ideal candidate will have strong civils delivery experience, water/wastewater project background, and the ability to manage pre-construction through completion.

Project Manager - Civils / Water & Wastewater

Location: Middlesbrough / North East

Project: Bran Sands Wastewater Treatment Works

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join an established civil engineering contractor, working from their North East operation on a major wastewater project at Bran Sands, Middlesbrough.

This is a hands-on delivery role suited to a Project Manager with a strong civil engineering background and proven experience delivering projects within the water / wastewater sector.

The Role

You'll take responsibility for the successful delivery of works on site, managing the project from planning and mobilisation through to completion, while working closely with the client, subcontractors and internal delivery teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the day-to-day delivery of the project
• Leading site teams and coordinating subcontractors
• Managing programme, costs, quality and H&S
• Liaising with the client and key stakeholders
• Managing project documentation, reporting and commercial performance
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification

Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager within civil engineering
• Strong civils delivery experience
• Previous experience working on water or wastewater projects
• Experience managing projects from pre-construction through to completion
• Strong understanding of programme, commercial and H&S requirements
• Able to manage client relationships, subcontractors and site teams
• Relevant civil engineering qualification preferred

Water/wastewater and genuine civils experience are essential for this position.
