Job summary

Progressive Global Energy seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee the civils package on a major hospital construction project in Birmingham. You will lead groundworks, RC frames and piling, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence on-site.

The role is a 3-month contract, on-site Monday to Friday, starting in early November, with potential extension for the right candidate. A strong track record in hospital or healthcare civils is essential.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the civils package on a major hospital construction project in Birmingham.

Working on-site Monday to Friday, you will take responsibility for managing all aspects of the civil works package, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery throughout the project lifecycle. This is an initial 3-month contract with the potential for extension.

• Oversee subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently
• Monitor programme progress and ensure project milestones are achieved
• Manage quality, health & safety, and compliance requirements

• Liaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders to maintain effective communication

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager on construction projects
• Strong background delivering groundworks, reinforced concrete (RC) frames, and piling packages
• Previous hospital or healthcare construction experience is highly desirable
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced site environment
• Location: Birmingham
• Duration: Initial 3 months (extension potential)
• Start Date: Early November
• Rate: Approximately £350 per day
• Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, site-based
