Role: Project Manager / Contract Manager / Budget Manager / Project Director

Location: UK

Salary: GBP50k-GBP80K plus car and benefits DOE

The Role: My client is seeking a Project Manager/Contract Manager with experience in the Door Manufacturing Sector. The role involves traveling around the UK to visit clients, primarily across hotel chains. Responsibilities include building relationships, overseeing works, and ensuring Fire Door Safety, Fire Line Compartment Safety, and Quality Control Checks. The focus is on elevating service levels and establishing processes to demonstrate accountability in quality and safety, as well as the future development of fire doors.

The successful candidate should have a background in Operations and a Commercial Head, as they will drive business operations forward. Experience in manufacturing management, cost control, and quoting work is essential.

This role is primarily on-site, requiring a leader who can take ownership and lead the operation. Flexibility may be considered in the future once operations are more established, but initially, on-site presence is mandatory.

The Ideal Candidate: You should be well-rounded and highly experienced in manufacturing/joinery, with specific knowledge of fire doors. The ability to identify issues and challenges, and to understand what good looks like, is crucial. You must be hungry, driven, and possess strong man-management and leadership skills. Reporting directly to the board, you should have credibility and a commanding presence.
