Job description

NES Fircroft is currently seeking a Project Manager in the Barrow-in-Furness area for a 12-month contract to join a global oilfield services client.

Our client is the world's leading provider of subsea technology and solutions, making new and existing subsea oil and gas projects more cost-effective and environmentally sustainable.

To succeed in this role, you will need to lead, align with business needs, and ensure successful project execution. This involves collaborating across departments to ensure critical projects are planned, progressed, and completed on time. A key focus will be on delivery readiness, on-time release, manufacturing performance, and optimization.

This role is offered on a 12-month PAYE contract with the potential for renewal. Only UK nationals can be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Monitoring deliverables to ensure schedule adherence across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.
  2. Providing internal and external delivery updates and preparing communication packs.
  3. Working with delivery teams, planning, and execution to track progress and mitigate risks to ensure on-time delivery.
  4. Assisting engineering teams in evaluating manufacturing readiness and efficiency, and contributing to project scheduling.
  5. Scheduling projects and developing best practices for engineering deliverables.
  6. Suggesting improvements based on departmental synergies.
  7. Using data analysis to inform business decisions and improvement initiatives.
Skills Required (Technical & Non-Technical):
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Key Experiences and Knowledge:
  • Studying towards or holding a degree or master's in a technical field, preferably mechanical or electrical.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, CAD, MS Project, and understanding of technical drawings.
