Job summary

AVD Appoint is seeking a Project Manager in Glamorgan to oversee multiple projects within a manufacturing environment on a permanent basis. The role focuses on delivering projects on time, within scope and budget, while coordinating with various departments.

You will drive initiatives across cost reductions, continuous improvement, NPI/NPD, engineering changes and supplier interactions, with opportunities to grow as the business expands.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Project Manager or similar in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong cross-department liaison and communication skills.

Project Manager - Glamorgan - up to £50,000 + Benefits - Ref 2062

I am currently recruiting for a Project Manager to work for a cutting-edge technology company based in Glamorgan. Salary up to £50,000 + Benefits.

The organisation has been in operation for many years and are worldwide leaders within the design, development, and manufacture of their highly intelligent products. As a business they turnover a significant amount of money, employ hundreds of people across various disciplines and are constantly evolving their legacy products as well as designing and developing new innovative products to bring to market.

In line with demand for their products and to support the business with their growth plans they have the need to appoint a Project Manager on a permanent basis.

In this role as a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously varying in value, duration and complexity. This will be a variation of projects for the wider business which could include cost downs / cost reduction, continuous improvement, NPI/NPD, Engineering Change Requests, new tooling or change of Suppliers. There will be a lot of cross department liaison and interface to ensure all projects run smoothly.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Project Manager, Programme Manager, Project Engineer or similar
• Previous experience in a Manufacturing / Production environment
• Previous experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

Desirable Requirements:

• Certification in Project Management (Prince 2, APM or PMP)
• PPAP / Understanding or change control
• Experience with NPI/NPD
• Understanding of the gate process
