Job summary

AVD Appoint is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for a Glamorgan-based role with responsibility for managing CAPEX projects and overseeing installation of machinery for new and existing production lines. The position offers up to £55,000 plus benefits and scope to progress within a growing technology company.

The successful candidate will have prior senior manufacturing experience, strong project delivery skills, and ideally electrical knowledge with PLC programming capabilities.

• Desirable electrical understanding and PLC programming skills.

I am currently recruiting for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to work for a cutting-edge technology company based in Glamorgan. Salary up to £55,000 + Benefits.

The organisation has been in operation for many years and are worldwide leaders within the design, development, and manufacture of their highly intelligent products. As a business they turnover a significant amount of money, employ hundreds of people across various disciplines and are constantly evolving their legacy products as well as designing and developing new innovative products to bring to market.

In line with demand for their products and to support the business with their growth plans they have the need to appoint a Senior Manufacturing Engineer on a permanent basis.

In this role as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for managing multiple CAPEX projects simultaneously. This will be managing the installation of machinery and equipment for new production lines, as well as looking at modifying, upgrading, and altering existing lines within the factory.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Project Manager, Project Engineer or similar
• Previous experience overseeing the installation and/or commissioning of machinery or equipment into a factory, be that new lines or modifications and upgrades to existing lines

Desirable Requirements:

• Strong Electrical understanding
• Ability to programme PLC's
