Job Description:

Grade 6: £32,000 - £38,000 per annum with an Oxford University Weighting of £1,000 per annum, to be applied from 1 August.

Fixed-term (to 31 March), full-time position.

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Management Officer to join our dynamic Major Projects Cluster team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of major project leadership programmes, ensuring all activities are managed efficiently, within timescales, and to high standards.

Key responsibilities:
  1. Manage and coordinate daily activities, monitor progress, identify risks, and escalate issues as needed to maintain project timelines.
  2. Provide leadership and guidance to programme coordinators, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  3. Serve as the first point of contact for enquiries from clients, delivery partners, and participants.
  4. Coordinate logistics for programme delivery, including events, speaker bookings, and facilities arrangements.
  5. Handle evaluation feedback, analyze results, produce summary reports, and organize design review meetings if necessary.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of project management practices, with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining excellent organizational and prioritization skills, especially during busy periods. Proven experience in managing client relationships within complex organizations and outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are essential, with the ability to work effectively with senior contacts, external stakeholders, and the academic community.
