Job summary

Tetra Tech Europe is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the project management of technically complex and nationally significant projects across the UK. You will report to our Operations Director and assist our project managers and technical staff in financial, administrative and programme management from day one.

You will be based in London or one of our offices with flexible working and the option to work from home.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
  • Strong teamwork and collaborative approach across business areas.
  • Proactive in acquiring new skills and learning on the job.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and other Office tools.
  • Understanding of the financial principles of managing projects.
  • Suitable for security clearance.

Job description

Tetra Tech is a leading, global provider of consulting and engineering services. Our dynamic Geoenvironmental team provides land quality, hydrogeology, hydrology, geothermal and site investigation consultancy for private and public sector clients across the UK and Ireland. Join us as an Assistant Project Manager to support the project management of technically complex and nationally significant projects across the UK.

Purpose & Scope of the Role

Reporting to our Operations Director, from day one you will get stuck into a variety of projects. We will expect you to support our Project Managers and technical staff in financial, administrative and programme management of projects of all scales.

Typical Duties Would Include
  • Tracking bids and new opportunities
  • Project setups
  • Internal project governance
  • Budget, time and resource management
  • Monitoring change and financial risk
  • Invoicing
  • Project finance reviews

In addition, you will support business development and strategic growth activities as required.

Your Impact in this Position

You will play a key role in supporting our technical team to manage the project lifecycle and delivery of a wide range of projects across the UK and Ireland.
