Brief Description
Anglia route is looking for a Project Leader to support on Safety Level Crossings. Your focus will be to harness your genuine passion for safety to enhance our operational performance. Are you driven to reduce safety risks at level crossings? Can you collaborate effectively across teams to help introduce new and improved technology on the Anglia Route? Are you able to work with precision on technical details while engaging passionately with our partners to make a real difference?
You are our link between our frontline level crossing inspection teams and our engineering improvement teams. Your purpose will be to provide the technical detail and support to enable the our level crossings to be upgraded. These improvements will make level crossings safer for everyone. About the role (External)
Every day will be different, but key responsibilities will include:
1. Agree remit and success criteria of Change and LX Projects with the relevant Executive Sponsors and Functional Directors.
2. Build collaborative teams across the different business function to facilitate the delivery of the projects. Establish and manage collaborative cross-functional virtual teams to deliver change projects, where appropriate.
3. Challenge traditional ways of thinking and delivery to create efficiencies and improvements.
4. Monitor and manage the project budgets.
5. Manage the development and delivery of change projects in compliance with company processes and procedures.
6. Manage the production of project management plans for change projects.
7. Deliver regular progress reports on LX and change projects, including relevant risks and issues, to Executive Sponsors and Functional Directors.
8. Promote and monitor the use of efficiency improvement methods.
9. Disseminate lessons learnt.
10. Track data and analyse to ensure trends are identified and shared with wider team.
11. Produce various levels of information for Weekly Reporting, PBR, OBR and other high level business reporting in the Anglia Route e.g. close calls and fatigue.
12. Attend as required a TSR/ESR Route Review (weekly/bi-weekly etc) and manage Anglia ESR/TSR ongoing Issues and update progress to the route as required/as Speeds are added/removed.
We are looking for someone who meets the below criteria:
• Experience of working in change projects
• Understanding of applying project methodologies
It's not essential, but we would love it if you have:
• Educated to degree level
• Member of project association
• Commercial and financial awareness.
• Knowledge of the principles of investment processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of/experience in the UK rail industry and of Level Crossings.
• A high level of numeracy and report writing/data interrogation.

We follow a structured pay framework: Band 4B; Salary range: £35,582 - £40,830
