Fusion People is seeking a Project Lead (Engineering & Listed Buildings) to drive refurbishment and conservation projects in the London area. You will act as the client representative and lead a diverse programme within a portfolio of estate-wide works.

The role requires a Level 4 qualification and proven PM experience in listed buildings and infrastructure. Hybrid working with 2 days in the office is expected, on a contract basis.

• Accredited qualification minimum Level 4 in a related technical subject (Construction, Engineering or Architecture).
• Must have project management experience in listed buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Experience with heating and cooling networks, high electrical infrastructure, and fibre communications buildings is desirable.

PROJECT LEAD (Engineering & Listed Buildings)

Public Sector Client

Location – London (Hybrid at least 2 days in the office, could be more depending on meetings)
Duration – 1 year contract
Day rate – £760 via umbrella (in scope of IR35)

A Project Lead is required to work on the Buildings & Infrastructure Portfolio which is the Client’s largest programme of works delivering refurbishment of several listed buildings and significant infrastructure and public realm activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as the client representative to pro-actively lead on the delivery of estate wide property, building refurbishment and conservation projects.
• Lead and deliver a diverse and exciting range of projects typically ranging between £5m and £100m.
• Report to all interested parties, including project boards, clients and stakeholders
• Support the Assistant Directors in the development of programmes of work that manage the requirements of different clients
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, including senior management, senior users, procurement, and finance teams.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, including Government departments, the Metropolitan Police, the Security Service, Members of Parliament, consultants, suppliers, and contractors.

REQUIREMENTS

• An accredited qualification to a minimum of level 4 in a related technical subject such as Construction, Engineering or Architecture
• Must have project management experience in the following fields:
  • Listed buildings
  • Infrastructure projects
  • Heating and cooling network
  • High electrical infrastructure, fibre communication building
  • Bore holes experience – highly desirable
