Job summary

This role involves leading the planning and delivery of complex engineering projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and managing project schedules and risks. A degree in Engineering or Physics is required, alongside experience in delivering complex projects. Professional project management certifications such as PRINCE2 or PMP are highly advantageous. Job description

We are currently seeking a Project Lead to join one of our clients in Oxfordshire, who is a well funded advanced technology company designing and manufacturing highly complex equipment for the semiconductor industry. Operating within a matrix organisation, the Project Lead will coordinate engineering functions, facilitate key decision-making, and ensure projects remain aligned with timelines, resources, and technical objectives.

Experience in the semiconductor industry is not required, but rather proven experience leading cross‑functional engineering teams and managing risk across highly technical programmes.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and delivery of complex engineering and product development projects.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, operations, and supply chain.
  • Manage project schedules, milestones, risks, and change control processes.
  • Facilitate discussions that help engineering teams resolve technical and delivery challenges.
  • Act as the central point of coordination between functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong experience delivering complex projects within engineering, R&D, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Proven ability to manage risk and drive delivery in technically complex programmes.
  • Professional project management certifications (PRINCE2, PMP, APM or similar) are highly advantageous.
