Job Description:

A major City law firm is looking for a high-calibre Associate (2–4 years PQE) to join its London-based Financing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly ranked practice working on some of the most complex and innovative financing transactions across sectors and jurisdictions.

The Role:

You will join a well-established and highly collaborative Financing group of over 75 lawyers, with the opportunity to work across several financing products and transaction types. This role will have a particular focus on project finance within the infrastructure, energy and natural resources sectors, including work on renewable energy (wind, solar, hydrogen, CCUS), oil & gas, and broader infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting and negotiating complex finance documents, including facility, security, intercreditor, hedging, and equity support arrangements
  • Advising on bankability and structuring of large-scale infrastructure and energy projects
  • Working on subsidy arrangements (e.g., CfDs) and emerging technologies
  • Leading client communications and helping to drive business development
  • Contributing to know-how and training, including new sectors such as hydrogen and carbon capture

The appropriate candidate will be 2-4 PQE with generalist infrastructure and energy financing experience from a leading finance practice. AUS/NZ candidates are welcome.
