The Role

Thornton Tomasetti’s London office is seeking talented and enthusiastic engineers with 4 to 7 years of experience to work in a structural consultancy practice currently delivering major projects (including commercial, residential, cultural, and sports) in the City of London, mainland Europe, and the Middle East. Candidates should be recently Chartered or working towards Chartered Engineer status through either the ICE or IStructE routes. Responsibilities

• Structural analysis, design, and detailing for all types of buildings and materials using a variety of building codes.
• Some supervision and management of other engineers and BIM technicians.
• Coordination of design work with in-house staff across multiple offices, as well as other design professionals including Architects and other Engineering disciplines.
• Communicate with clients and other design professionals to understand project requirements.
• Role may involve some travel within the UK and abroad.

Requirements

• Degree (Master’s or equivalent preferred) in structural engineering or related field.
• Strong technical skills.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and graphical / sketches.
• Working knowledge preferred of current industry software, such as SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Microsoft Office.
• 4-7 years of experience.
