Job summary

Sinewave in Swindon is seeking a Project Engineer – Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to support HV and LV installations for UK EV, renewables and I&C projects. You will lead site teams and ensure safe, high‑standard execution.

You will supervise HV/LV networks, assist testing and commissioning, plan projects and respond to faults, and act as standby engineer for our UK O&M portfolio. A UK driving licence and CSCS are required.

Qualifications

• RAMS creation and risk assessment for HV/LV works.
• CSCS card holder with UK driving licence.
• Experience with HV/LV networks and 33kV authorisations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all site personnel on HV/LV networks.
• Assist testing and commissioning of HV/LV distribution systems.
• Plan, coordinate projects and fault callouts.
• Train junior staff to become LV AP or HV AP.
• Act as Standby Engineer for UK O&M portfolio.

TheRole

We arelooking for a Project Engineer ‘Senior Authorised Person(SAP)’ to support the operationaldelivery of HV and LV installations for some of the UK’sbiggest rollout of Electric Vehicle (EV), Renewables andI&C projects, along with directresponsibility for the works carried out by the junior teammembers.

You’llbe responsible for ensuringall electricity networks are installed in a safe andprofessional manner and to a high standard in line withSinewave safe working practises.

Anidea of what you'll deoing:

• You'llbe working with some of the biggest low carbon projects in theUK
  
• You’llmanage and supervise all site personnel working on HV& LV networks.
  
• You’llassist in the testing and commissioning of HV/LVdistribution systems.
  
• Youwill plan and co-ordinate projects and fault responsecallouts.
  
• You’llassist in the training and development of Sinewavecolleagues wishing to become an LV AP or HVAP.
  
• Youwill carry out audits, produce reports for worksundertaken and manage project budgets to ensure teamefficiency.
  
• Actas a Standby Engineer for our extensive O&M portfoliowith over 2000 sites across theUK.
  

Requirements

When youjoin you will go through our top-notch inductionand onboarding process and have opportunities todevelop further through our in house trainingacademy.

You'll have a proven track record of:

• Assessing potentiallyhazardous and dangerous situations, taking appropriateaction to ensure the safety of personnel, other siteoperatives
  
• Undertaking site specificrisk assessments and creating RAMS, and competent issuin and cancelling safetydocuments.
  
• Ensuringpersonnel and your wider team understand duties undersafetydocuments.
  
• Carryingout network operations under instruction from theNetwork ControlEngineer.
  
• Understanding the localnetwork anomalies and ensuring correct phaserotation.
  

You'll already have experience & qualifications in:

• Currentlyhold (or have held) authorisations up to 33kV includingpermit to work (accepting 11KV with extensiveexperience).
  
• CSCS(affiliated).
  
• The useof Productivity and CollaborationSoftware such as Microsoft Office,Microsoft Teams, SharePoint etc. acrossmultiple platforms such as smart phones, tablets,laptopsetc.
  
• Full UKdriving license (Maximum of 3points).
