Job summary

HRGO Group is seeking a Project Engineer in the Cambourne area, Cambridgeshire, for a permanent role offering £45,000–£55,000 per year plus a yearly bonus. The job is office-based with travel to UK sites and potentially overseas.

You will take ownership of contracts from order receipt to installation and handover, coordinate with clients and internal teams, develop project scopes, manage schedules with Gantt charts, and prepare documentation such as P&IDs, BOMs and timing plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in a process engineering environment.
• Strong project management and contractual ownership.
• UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of contracts from order receipt to handover.
• Collaborate with clients and internal departments during the project lifecycle.
• Develop and agree on project scopes with customers and sales.
• Manage project schedules using Gantt charts.
• Generate documentation such as Scope of Supply, timing plans, P&IDs, BOMs, and layout drawings
• Source and specify bought-out components and equipment
• Oversee equipment delivery, installation, and customer acceptance testing
• Coordinate subcontractors and oversee installations on-site in the UK and abroad
