Job summary

Veolia is seeking a skilled project engineer in Chesterfield to deliver projects end to end on time and to budget. You will engage with customers, coordinate planning teams and external suppliers to build lasting partnerships.

The role requires engineering qualifications, experience in mechanical or electrical services, knowledge of improvement techniques, and a full UK driving licence. You will join a supportive, inclusive team with a strong commitment to safety and professional development.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification required.
• Experience in a mechanical or electrical services environment.
• Understanding and applying improvement techniques.
• Strong Health and Safety understanding.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects are delivered end to end on time and to budget.
• Attend project management calls and site visits with the customer and the internal planning team.
• Provide solutions to risks that affect project timeframes.
• Build positive relationships with the customer and manage external suppliers.
• Take charge of quality control, ensuring communications to clients are accurate.
• Ensure key commercial and scope decisions follow Veolia processes.
• Be on the on-call rota and coordinate out-of-hours support remotely.
