Job Description:

The company is involved in the design, development, and manufacture of a range of diesel, hybrid, and hydrogen-powered engines for various applications and sells them worldwide.

The role involves working with trade associations (government bodies, etc.) on new engine emissions legislation and supporting the company to develop and produce engines that meet regional, environmental, and governmental legislative requirements.

This is an important role that will influence the design and development of current and future conventional and hydrogen engine systems.

• Ideally, a degree in engineering, science, environmental science, etc.
• Strong technical understanding of engine systems, combustion systems (e.g., ICE, Hydrogen, Hybrid), and experience in design, testing, emissions, research, aftertreatment, quality, compliance, approvals, conformance, etc.
• Good eye for detail and an analytical mindset.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to disseminate and communicate regulatory requirements and standards around new emissions to engineering teams.
• Applicants from homologation, certification, and/or compliance backgrounds are of great interest. However, applications are welcomed from those with similar interests and attributes (e.g., Safety Engineering, Type Approvals, engine/emissions Testing, Calibration, Quality Assurance, etc.).
• Experience in an engine product development environment (e.g., automotive, aerospace, nuclear, marine, power generation) would be very useful.
• The role is aligned to a senior engineer level within the business, offering opportunities to progress to Principal Engineer.

Location: The Project Engineer / Senior Regulatory Affairs Engineer role is office-based in Derbyshire, full-time.

Relocation assistance can be provided. The roles are commutable from Rocester, Stoke-on-Trent, Derby, Nottingham, Birmingham, Uttoxeter, Stafford, and Burton.
