Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Project Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) for a world‑class manufacturing site in Exeter. You will lead capital projects, manage installations and drive improvements across equipment and infrastructure.

Role offers Monday–Friday days, a salary of £55,000–£57,500 plus bonus, private healthcare and life assurance, plus comprehensive sick pay and strong career progression within a global organisation.

Qualifications

Level 3 or above in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering or relevant experience.
Experience delivering engineering projects in manufacturing or heavy industry.
Knowledge of equipment installation, plant upgrades or CI projects.
Understanding of manufacturing performance and reliability improvements.
CAD experience; CMMS/Oracle knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead capital projects involving new machinery, production equipment and site infrastructure.
Manage equipment installations, upgrades and site improvement projects from concept to completion.
Specify and source machinery and engineering components.
Manage contractors; ensure safety, on-time delivery and budget adherence.
Develop project plans, layouts and manufacturing improvement initiatives.
Support reliability improvements with long-term engineering solutions.
Provide technical support during installation, commissioning and handover.
Maintain technical documentation and ensure safety standards compliance.
