Overview

Yolk Engineering is managing a new opportunity with a growing advanced manufacturing business known for its innovative products. This role combines ownership of NPI projects, project management, and hands-on bench skills, providing a comprehensive view of the product lifecycle and opportunities for growth within a collaborative engineering team.

Responsibilities

1. Leading and coordinating new product introductions, including chairing meetings, planning timelines, managing actions, and acting as the technical lead from concept to manufacture.
2. Owning product-related issues through fault-finding, root cause analysis, and implementing solutions.
3. Supporting product improvements and guiding design-for-manufacture decisions in collaboration with design teams.
4. Providing technical support and becoming the go-to expert for your designated product or technology.
5. Engaging in activities such as installing equipment, mentoring apprentices, and process improvement initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

1. Background in electrical or electronic engineering, via education or hands-on experience.
2. Practical bench skills, including diagnostics and fault-finding.
3. Understanding of project management principles, including planning and cross-department communication.
4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
5. Confidence in presenting and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
6. Knowledge of Six Sigma / Lean methodologies (advantageous).
7. Interest in AI, embedded tech, or next-gen electronics, with a passion for learning.
