Job summary

KS Composites is seeking a Project Engineer to support successful delivery of customer projects from concept through to completion in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work with Project Managers, Engineering, Operations and Commercial teams to coordinate technical requirements, manage documentation and trackers, and ensure on-time delivery to spec and quality standards.

The role offers an opportunity to develop project management skills and progress to more senior responsibilities

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in the UK – no sponsorship.
• Must be able to commute to work using own vehicle – rural site.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering, composites or automotive environment.
• Strong technical understanding and ability to interpret drawings and technical data.
• Confident communicating with internal teams, customers and suppliers.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Strong desire to develop a career within project management.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of multiple projects from handover through to completion
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production and Commercial teams to meet project requirements and deadlines
• Monitor project progress, identifying risks, issues and potential delays
• Assist with project planning, scheduling and tracking
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including BOMs, trackers and reports
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications and engineering data
• Liaise with customers and suppliers where required
• Support the introduction of new products and processes into manufacture
• Assist with project meetings, reviews and progress reporting
• Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and project delivery
• Escalate technical, commercial or delivery issues to the Project Manager where appropriate
• Support Project Managers with the successful delivery of larger and more complex programmes
