Job summary

The American Society of Civil Engineers in the United Kingdom is seeking a Project Engineer to support civil engineering and remediation projects across the UK. Working with project managers, site teams and suppliers, you will help plan, program and coordinate delivery from start to handover.

The role requires site-based experience, a relevant degree, CSCS and driving licence, plus willingness to travel to projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• HNC, HND or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related subject.
• Previous site-based construction experience.
• Understanding of drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Full UK driving licence and CSCS card.

Responsibilities

• Support technical delivery of civil engineering and remediation projects.
• Assist with project planning, programming and coordination.
• Produce and maintain RAMS, inspection/test plans and records.
• Monitor works against drawings, specs and programme requirements.
• Support setting-out and checking completed works.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Raise RFIs and manage technical queries.
• Maintain QA, environmental and HSE records.
• Assist with progress reporting, site meetings and client communication.
• Help prepare as-built information and handover documentation.
• Identify technical, programme and delivery risks.
