Key Responsibilities of a Project Engineer
Evaluate market demands and customer challenges to support product and process development initiatives.
Implement, test, and deliver training on new technologies and products within the manufacturing environment.
Collaborate closely with internal teams, external suppliers, and customers to define product specifications and project scope.
Develop solutions for complementary technologies such as work holding, measurement systems, and feedback devices to enhance machine capability and adaptability.
Oversee projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring timelines and objectives are achieved.
Provide technical support and training to Applications Departments across Europe, supporting promotional activity and customer engagement.
Key Skills of a Project Engineer
Previous experience in a project engineering, technical production, or applications engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of machining processes, including milling, turning, and part handling.
Familiarity with PLC systems and macro programming principles would be advantageous.
Hands-on background with the capability to manage both small and large-scale projects effectively.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with colleagues, suppliers, dealers, and customers.
