Job description

NES Fircroft is partnered with a global cabling client. We are seeking a Project Engineer. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will supervise installation activities on our client's high-profile project site in Durham. Your responsibilities include:

1. Ensuring all work is carried out safely, competently, and effectively, meeting scope, schedule, and budget.
2. Identifying and promoting commercial opportunities.
3. Coordinating engineering design activities.
4. Monitoring civil engineering activities and Prysmian installation staff to ensure efficient project completion.
5. Reviewing and monitoring project progress using MS Project.
6. Liaising between head office, customers, subcontractors, and site staff.
7. Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and security procedures. Promoting a culture of safety, quality, and environmental best practices through communication and audits.
8. Managing project materials requisition and control.
9. Coordinating internally and externally to meet targets and milestones, ensuring work adheres to company procedures.
10. Overseeing quality coordination.
11. Managing interface interactions.

You Are The Right Fit If You Have/are

1. An HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline (preferable but not essential depending on experience).
2. Several years of experience in construction and/or electrical industries, with a good understanding of HV cable systems and civil engineering matters.
3. High computer literacy.
4. Proven people management skills and ability to work independently.
5. Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
6. A valid UK driving license.
