JOB- Project Engineer

LOCATION- Thetford

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £40,000 to £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Premier Engineering is working with a well-established manufacturing business based in Thetford, who are looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join their growing technical team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in managing engineering projects from concept through to delivery.

The Project Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• A degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Proven experience in a Project Engineer or Project Management role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication, or sheet metal
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
• Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external clients
• Experience coordinating cross-functional project teams

The Project Engineer role will involve:

• Managing and coordinating projects from design through to production and delivery
• Liaising with design, production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure project requirements are met
• Creating and maintaining project documentation, schedules, and reports
• Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification
• Providing technical support and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle
• Attending meetings with clients and suppliers as needed
