Job summary

OA Group is recruiting for a Project Engineer in Sandy. The role covers contracts from receipt to handover, with site installation coordination and FAT/PDI, documentation, and scheduling. It requires process engineering experience, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Project and Autocad LT.

UK driving licence is required. Immediate start, temporary with permanent opportunity. The position offers weekly pay, hours Monday to Friday 08:30–17:00 (early finish on Friday), and benefits

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role in a process engineering environment, ideally in the Food Processing Industry.
• Proven history of running successful engineering projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all parts of the business.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and MS Project.
• Proficient in Autocad LT.
• UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and agree the Project Scope with the customer and sales team.
• Own and maintain the project schedule (Gantt chart).
• Produce project documentation (internal project numbers, Scope of Supply, timing plan, P&ID, BOM's, and provisional Layout Drawings).
• Specifying and sourcing bought out components and equipment.
• Manage Project Change.
• Organise delivery and installation of the equipment: FAT/PDI, packing and shipping, installation plan, resources, and documentation handover.
• Remain commercially aware throughout the life of the project, ensuring invoices are issued on time.

Location: Sandy

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30AM - 17:00PM, early finish on Friday

Salary: £24.00 - £26.00 an hour, weekly pay

Immediate Start Available - Temporary position, with opportunity to go Permanent

OA are currently working with a well established client based in Sandy, currently looking to recruit for an experienced, Project Engineer to take responsibility for contracts from the receipt of order through to successful install and handover.

Duties of a Project Engineer:

• Develop and agree the Project Scope with the customer and sales team.
• Own and maintain the project schedule (Gantt chart).
• Produce project documentation (internal project numbers, Scope of Supply, timing plan, P&ID, BOM's, and provisional Layout Drawings).
• Specifying and sourcing bought out components and equipment.
• Manage Project Change.
• Organise delivery and installation of the equipment: Customer acceptance Testing (FAT/PDI), Packing and Shipping (including export paperwork if required), Installation plan, booking installation resources, and documentation (RAMs). Site Acceptance Testing. Training, and documentation handover.
• Remain commercially aware throughout the life of the project, ensuring that invoices are issued on time

What we would like from you:

• Experience in a similar role in a process engineering environment, ideally in the Food Processing Industry.
• Proven history of running successful engineering projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all parts of the business internally.
• An enthusiastic approach with a 'can do' attitude.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), and MS Project.
• Proficient in the use ofAutocad LT.
• A knowledge of Steam systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and pipework, along with a basic understanding of electrical control systems would be highly beneficial.
• UK Driving Licence required.
