W Talent is proud to be supporting a market‑leading engineering organisation in their search for an experienced Project Engineer to join their growing team based in Redditch.
The Role
As a Project Engineer, you'll take ownership of engineering projects from concept to completion driving performance, quality, and delivery. You'll play a key role in ensuring projects meet business goals, exceed stakeholder expectations, and comply with all industry and regulatory standards, all while achieving results on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects from concept to completion, defining scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations to meet key milestones.
- Manage budgets, track costs, and report on project performance.
- Oversee delivery to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to align on requirements and expectations.
- Review technical designs to ensure compliance with engineering standards and CDM 2015 regulations.
- Identify risks, implement mitigation plans, and provide regular progress updates.
- Maintain clear documentation and encourage knowledge sharing across teams.
- Drive continuous improvement and best practice in all project activities.
Health and Safety Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 and all company Health & Safety policies.
- Promote safe working practices and a strong safety culture.
- Report any incidents, hazards, or near misses promptly.
- Support accident investigations and help drive continual safety improvements.
- Lead by example to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
Key Requirements
Experience
- Significant engineering experience.
- Extensive experience in capital expenditure design, development, and implementation projects.
- Proven track record of managing at least three engineering projects under CDM 2015 regulations.
- Advanced project management software proficiency.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget preparation, cost control, and P&L management.
