About the role

Due to significant growth opportunities in the North Queensland division, BMD is in the market for a Project Engineer to energize a collaborative team for the delivery of roads projects at Airlie Beach. We also have multiple civil construction projects in the Mackay and Townsville regions after this project finishes in around a year's time.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Five+ years of experience in the civil construction industry with over two years specifically in project engineering.
  • Experience in earthworks, drainage, and road construction (ideally with exposure to a Department of Transport and Main Roads project).
  • A collaborative management style to build a close outcome-focused team.
  • Strong commercial acumen, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Stakeholder and client engagement experience.
