Job summary

Flex is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in Kendal or Blackburn. You will act as the bridge between Sales, Engineering, Production and Project Management, providing technical oversight to ensure customer designs meet the highest standards.

You will support tenders, turn successful bids into deliverable designs, prepare design calculations and assist with on-site delivery and commissioning. Travel up to 20% is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or a degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Experience with LV/MV switchgear, control panels and electrical distribution systems.
• Strong understanding of single line diagrams, protection devices and electrical design principles.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and produce accurate engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical planning and design with execution teams.
• Support tender submissions by ensuring technical compliance with standards and specifications.
• Turn tenders into deliverable designs with electrical and mechanical engineering teams.
• Prepare project-specific design calculations and review designs for proposed solutions.
