Project Engineer Position at Dungeness B Power Station

We are recruiting a talented Project Engineer to join our client's Engineering and Technical Solutions team at Dungeness B power station, with occasional travel to other UK sites. Experience working at Power Stations and Nuclear Licensed Sites is preferred but not essential. Candidates with a background in highly regulated environments with high safety standards are advantageous.

Please note: This client does not offer VISA sponsorship. Only candidates with full Right to Work in the UK and relevant experience will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

1. Produce and maintain project engineering documentation, including quality plans and technical specifications.
2. Manage technical queries according to relevant processes and procedures.
3. Support contractor selection and contract placement processes.
4. Conduct technical reviews of contractor documents and drawings.
5. Perform technical appraisals of project options.
6. Conduct feasibility studies, site surveys, and liaise with designers and station engineering staff.
7. Prepare Engineering Changes and manage related documentation.
8. Handle commissioning documents and lead testing teams where appropriate.
9. Assist the Project Manager and Construction Manager in managing the project, ensuring safety, timeliness, and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Requirements

1. Chartered Engineer or HND Plus with electrical engineering experience.
2. Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification.
3. Formal project management qualification and familiarity with modern project management techniques are preferred but not essential.
4. Experience in safety, environmental, and quality standards compliance, including legislative and regulatory requirements.
5. Knowledge of delivering construction projects under CDM regulations.
6. Experience managing electrical power systems design and installation projects is desirable.
7. Effective communication and organizational skills.
