Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Project Engineer to join our delivery teams on the HPC program in the UK. You will lead assigned activities, manage interfaces, and work with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will develop execution plans, monitor milestones, and communicate progress to stakeholders. The role offers hybrid working and a focus on professional development within a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a relevant HNC level qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to support day-to-day activities and align with safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives.
• Define the scope of work within the contract, identifying interfaces with other program elements under guidance of the Project Manager.
• Lead delivery of assigned small projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective execution per procedures.
• Prepare and maintain essential project documentation including Project Definition Documents, Project Briefs and Quality Plans.
• Develop and implement execution strategies aligned with the Program Execution Plan (PEP).
• Maintain open communication with stakeholders to drive project success and alignment.
• Lead contract/package activities, monitor progress, milestones, and provide progress reports to stakeholders.
• Develop interfaces between contracts to ensure timely delivery and best-for-project decisions.
• Work with Multi-Discipline teams to follow governance procedures and pursue professional membership with bodies like APM, RICS, etc.

• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, supporting day-to-day activities to ensure alignment with project objectives in safety, quality, schedule, and cost. Together with a multi-disciplinary team, work towards achieving common objectives with enthusiasm and dedication
• Define the scope of work within the contract or package, identifying interfaces with other program elements, under the guidance of the Project Manager
• Take charge of managing the delivery of assigned small projects, jobs, and tasks, ensuring they are conducted safely, efficiently, and effectively according to established procedures
• Prepare and maintain essential project documentation, including Project Definition Documents, Project Briefs, and Quality Plans, to ensure clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle
• Develop and implement execution strategies and plans aligned with the overall program execution plan (PEP), providing clear direction on how the program of work will be managed, organised, and executed
• Maintain open and effective communication with stakeholders, executing project strategies within your assigned contract or package of work to drive success and ensure everyone is on the same page
• Under the guidance of the Project Manager, lead the delivery of contract or package activities, ensuring they meet safety, time, budget, and technical requirements. Monitor progress, track milestones, and provide stakeholders with comprehensive progress reports, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project
• Develop and manage interfaces between contracts to ensure timely delivery ensuring best for project decisions are considered
• Working closely with the project Manager and Multi Discipline teams, ensure that all tasks and projects follow the projects governance procedures and policies, Be an active member or working towards obtaining a professional membership with the Association of Project Management (APM), Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), or other professional body
