About the role

Become part of the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years! Join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team as an Project Engineer on the Hinkley Point Project and develop with this amazing project.

About Hinkley Point C

The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.

Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year.

(This is a fully site based role)

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of Site Wide projects.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans,
    schedules, and timelines.
  • Coordinate project activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and aligned with project goals.
  • Monitor project progress and report any issues or delays to the Project Manager.
  • Schedule and organize project meetings, prepare agendas, and record minutes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including
    project plans, schedules, and reports.
  • Prepare regular status reports and update project stakeholders on
    progress.
  • Ensure all project documentation is properly stored and accessible
    to relevant team members.
  • Assist in the preparation of project presentations and materials.
  • Serve as a point of contact for project team members,
    stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Facilitate effective communication between project team members
    and other departments.
  • Assist in managing stakeholder expectations and addressing any
    concerns.
  • Ensure that all project communications are clear, timely, and
    accurate.


Who we're looking for

  • Degree in Engineering Based subject or relevant experience.
  • Previous major projects experience will be a benefit.
  • Ability to gain a security clearance.
