Job summary

Hyde Group, Stockport site, is seeking a Project Engineer to develop and maintain a strong relationship with a major OEM. You will help ensure all deliverables and milestones are achieved by coordinating with the customer and production teams, while addressing engineering and quality issues with a proactive, customer-focused approach.

The role emphasizes strong commercial awareness and excellent stakeholder management to support project success and business growth.

Qualifications

• Strong IT skills with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to read and interrogate engineering drawings/BOM.
• Experience in a project/customer facing role in manufacturing/engineering.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to carry out contract review activities.
• Desirable aerospace industry experience.
• SAP knowledge (Desirable).
• APM project management qualification (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the relationship with our major OEM and ensure milestones are met.
• Coordinate with customer and production teams to deliver on time and to spec.
• Lead resolution of engineering and quality issues for customers.
• Identify risks and opportunities and communicate them to stakeholders.
• Support contract reviews and change management as required.

This exciting role would involve you developing and maintaining the relationship between ourselves and one of our major OEM's. You will play a major part in ensuring that all our deliverables and project milestones are achieved by liaising with the customer and our production team. You will use your engineering experience to help resolve engineering and quality issues for our customers and identify up and coming risks and opportunities. Naturally you will be customer focused with a strong commercial awareness and excellent stakeholder management skills.

Essential Skills

• Strong IT skills (in particular Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Ability to read and interrogate engineering drawings/Bill of Materials.
• Experience of working in a project/customer facing role in a manufacturing/engineering setting.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to carry out contract review activities.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience of working within the Aerospace Industry.
• SAP knowledge.
• Formal project management qualification, in particular APM would be ideal but not essential.
