A leading company in the design and build sector is seeking a Project Director to manage client projects and ensure successful execution. The role involves relationship building, financial oversight, and problem-solving for high-profile assignments. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent negotiation skills, and a minimum of three years in Workplace Design & Build.

As Project Director you will manage prospective opportunities with the aim of achieving a high success rate. You will attend appointments with potential clients, build lasting relationships, and conduct client pitches alongside a Designer. Additionally, you will assist clients with applicable building applications such as LTA’s and wayleaves, and prepare comprehensive works schedules and budget schedules for various trades.
You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing Sales Contracts, including JCT’s, and producing detailed contractor costings for each project. You will collaborate with Finance and Operations to ensure relevant insurance requirements are met for high-level projects. Developing excellent product knowledge and maintaining strong customer relationships will be key. You will manage client expectations regarding timeframes and potential challenges that may impact key milestones.
Internally, you will build strong relationships with relevant departments. You will regularly liaise with Designers and the Projects Team to ensure successful project completion. Understanding and executing Project Plans will be critical, as will obtaining regular progress updates from the Projects Team, Site Managers, and on-site trades to ensure milestones are achieved and defects are promptly addressed.
You will solve problems in a prompt and professional manner, requiring an analytical approach, being highly numerate, logical, and possessing strong problem-solving skills. By addressing issues quickly and professionally, you will ensure that projects stay on track and client satisfaction is maintained.
