Job Description:

A market-leading project consultancy is looking for an accomplished Project Director to lead the strategic delivery of complex data center construction programmes across the UK. Based in London, this role requires a high-calibre individual with deep technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and the gravitas to lead major clients and multidisciplinary teams through the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic oversight and leadership across large-scale data center programmes, from early engagement through to delivery and operational readiness
• Lead client relationships at a senior level, offering trusted advice and representing the consultancy at the highest levels
• Develop and implement programme-level delivery strategies, risk management frameworks, and governance structures
• Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring alignment with client objectives, budget control, quality standards, and timelines
• Drive business growth through client development, team leadership, and contribution to sector strategy
• Champion technical excellence, innovation, and best practice in mission-critical project delivery

Requirements:

• Extensive experience directing the delivery of major data center or mission-critical infrastructure projects, ideally across multiple geographies
• Proven leadership in a consultancy or client-side environment, with exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, including procurement and risk strategy at programme level
• Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline; chartered status (MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB or equivalent) essential
• Recognised authority within the data center or critical infrastructure sector
