Job summary

Salter Grange is seeking an experienced Project Director for a complex data centre project in West London. You will lead the project team, own the programme, and drive safety and quality to meet client expectations.

Responsibilities include managing enabling works, ground remediation, and major utility diversions while coordinating design development with live construction activities. You will engage as the senior client contact across multiple phases and ensure alignment with project goals.

Qualifications

• MEP delivery knowledge required.
• Experience with NEC/JCT contracts preferred.
• Engineering or Building Science degree required.

• Lead the project team to deliver the scheme on time, on budget and to the highest quality. Own the programme, manage subcontractors, drive health & safety standards, and report into the Head of Construction.
• Lead enabling works including full demolition of existing structures and retaining walls.
• Direct ground remediation, re-levelling and major utility diversions / disconnections ahead of construction.
• Manage design development from RIBA Stage 2 through Stage 4 in tandem with live construction activity.
• Oversee delivery of hyperscale data centre facilities alongside associated office buildings and substations.
• Set and enforce site wide health & safety protocols to protect both the workforce and surrounding community.
• Act as the senior client and stakeholder point of contact throughout complex, multi-phase development.

Salter Grange is partnering with a leading main contractor, delivering a complex data centre scheme based in West London, who are on the search for an experienced Project Director.

The Role

• Lead the project team to deliver the scheme on time, on budget and to the highest quality; owning the programme, managing subcontractors, driving health & safety standards, and reporting into the Head of Construction

What You'll Need

• Strong MEP delivery knowledge
• Working knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts
• Degree in Engineering, Building Science or related field
• CSCS Gold, SMSTS, First Aid at Work, RAMS (Working at Heights a plus)
